Seeds
Seeds will be despatched as quickly as possible in date order received. If we are temporarily out of stock of a variety we may hold your order until all is available unless there is likely to be much of a delay. Please do not order seeds of varieties that are marked PLANT ONLY. All varieties available as seed are prefixed by S/.

Substitutes
If we are out of stock of any variety we will substitute a variety which is similar or just as good. If you are not prepared to accept a substitute please indicate on the order form in the space provided.

PLANTLETS
Plantlets of many cultivars are available where indicated and code number is prefixed by P/. Please do not order plants of varieties that are not so marked as we will only have to substitute.

Plantlets are sent out in our special plastic mini-greenhouse containers which hold 6 plantlets when they have their true leaves. Plants will vary in size.

Mixed Plant Orders
You may mix plants from any section of the catalogue. For example one container could have 2 cucumbers, 1 aubergine, 1 pepper and 2 tomatoes. A mixed container is more expensive than one containing 6 plants of the same variety.

Plant Despatch
Please check the appropriate box when using on-line ordering or tick the appropriate box on the printable order form to indicate when you would like your plants delivered. If you do not do so we will send them at the later delivery time. The on-line order process and the printable order form give the dates when orders must be received for each delivery date. These are: MARCH - order by February 4th; APRIL - order by March 11th; MAY - order by April 15th..

Orders are despatched in date order order received within each period. If you would like to receive your order at the earliest possible time please order well before the deadline! Plantlets are sent out 1st class post except for extremely large orders which are sent by courier. Please write brief instructions on the order form e.g. 'if out leave in porch', 'if out leave next door' etc. in case you are out when your plantlets arrive - one address line only please!

Substitutes
Our plantlets are as vulnerable as everyone's to adverse conditions and we not be able to supply your chosen variety. If you have ordered a mixed pack we will substitute the nearest. However, if you have ordered a '6 pack' of 1 variety and have marked on the order form that you will not accept substitutes we will send you a refund.

Plants to outside UK
We regret we no longer send plants to outside the UK due to long delays in the post.

EXCHANGES
If we have made a mistake, please notify us as soon as possible and we will send the correct item immediately, subject to availability. In order to keep replacements to a minimum please make sure that you have written or told us the correct code number. In keeping with the Distance Selling Regulations you also have the right to change your mind, with the exception of perishable goods. (Perishable goods include all plantlets, potatoes, garlic, onion and shallot sets, rhubarb and asparagus crowns and artichoke tubers.) In these circumstances you must notify us in writing within 7 days of receiving the goods of your intention of returning them and the goods must be returned in good condition within a month. Cost of postage is at your expense.
